ndrea Lee is an aspiring LPGA Tour Star, highlighted with her win in the first major event at the Portland Classic in 2022. Lee was a winner at all levels, winning 9 matches during her collegiate time at Standford University. She also was able to stay for 17 weeks straight in the top spot on the Ladies Amateur World ranking. She was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal in the year 2019 and was the top-ranked female amateur in the final season. In the following year, she became a professional. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. James taught her to play golf as early as she was just 5 years old. She first began playing in tournaments aged 8 and was able to win 50 junior championships in the span of four years. She was a finalist at her first tournament in the year 2014 US Women's Open at Pinehurst No. She was 15 years old while her father served as her caddie. Lee was invited by sponsors to attend the 2015 ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour however she missed the cut by just one shot. Lee played for the USA in the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. When she joined Stanford University in 2016 she became the top-rated athlete in the history of the university at that time when over the following three years she won nine individual titles. Lee quit Stanford University and turned pro in the year 2019. Her amateur golf career saw her stay for 17 weeks at top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee won the Mark H. He was always calling me a winner, and was convinced that I would win. She added, "I was so grateful for him. And I know that he's following me." She has competed before in soccer, figure skating and taekwondo. Lee's hobbies besides golf revolve around movies, shopping and singing. She also loves to snowboard.
